Jae Jans is “not quite” the coolest guy on the planet

So today I showed up on Google’s front page for the keyword term “the coolest guy on the planet”

This through me off a bit because I’ve been working on optimizing a different site for the front page.

But I’m not complaining…

So here’s your tip for the day…

WordPress blogs rock!

Even with all the fancy modifications and plugins I used on my “other” blog I still managed to pull a front page ranking on Google in less than 2 months with almost zero effort.

If you have a business or cause you are trying to promote at least consider using a wordpress.com blog as a means to help get the word out, they seem to be cool with Google.

The coolest surprise on my experiment yet

So it’s been at least a few weeks since I really started this experiment.

Today I was pleasantly surprised to find my original site ranked #12 on Google for the term the coolest guy on the planet

This came as a shock to me because I haven’t spent a whole lot of time “optimizing it”

…as a matter of fact the main tools I used I’m currently revealing to you right on the website.

Hurry over if you haven’t been there yet because I have plans to start offering SEO services at that particular site REAL soon.

Cool Planetary Ranking News

So last night I skipped my 4th Video documenting my coolest guy on the planet experiment.

Why?

Well the first day I jumped up a few positions then the second day I actually lost a few. Well in between the 3rd and 4th day my planetary coolness factor for earth went down almost a whole 10 positions.

So I figured you probably didn’t want to hear about going down in rank.

Well this morning I take a quick look and low and behold my position of “coolness” for the 3rd Rock from the sun moved up to page 2 right in slot 18. So I’m psyched and thinking about dominating my coolness factor for mars, venus and maybe a few other planets like Neptune.

Although I’m not sure I’m ready for Neptune so I may need to just relax for the moment.

Anyhow I’m a pretty happy guy about moving up 5 whole pages overnight for the hardest to optimize key phrase on the planet.

One thing is for sure.

This dude (me) is onto something and I’m gonna get back to my coolness lab right now.

The Great Coolest Guy On The Planet Experiment
